Sweet Paris’ story began in Houston in 2012 but has now spread to ten locations including within Century Square in the heart of College Station. This restaurant has revived the art of making crêpes with the ambiance of a Parisian cafe and is perfect for both an outing with friends or a romantic date with your significant other. With its variety of crêpes and coffees, there is something for everyone to enjoy. As a student, I have always enjoyed visiting this restaurant as it is both affordable and delicious, with each meal costing around $10.

Personally, it was one of my favorite places to go to when I lived in College Station. Whether I was craving brunch or a sweet snack, it had a crêpe for every occasion. For breakfast, I have enjoyed “The Feast,” which is a combination of scrambled egg, feta, ricotta, mozzarella, fresh tomatoes, spinach, and mushrooms. As someone who leans towards eating vegetarian, it is refreshing to see a vegetarian option that contains some filling protein.

For those who are pescetarian or simply enjoy smoked salmon as much as I do, there are two amazing options for seafood lovers. “The Alaskan” is a breakfast crêpe filled with smoked salmon, pickled red onions, and scrambled eggs that is served with dill sour cream and scallions. Another smoked salmon option is “The Nordic,” which has the same ingredients but is served as a savory crêpe instead of being on the breakfast menu. The breakfast crêpes tend to be larger in size than the lunch “savory” crêpes, but the savory crêpes come with a side salad. I prefer the breakfast crêpes as they are a little more filling, especially given the prices for both.

If you enjoy meat with your breakfast meals, “Le Mexicain” is a favorite amongst my friends. Time and time again, my friends have raved about this crêpe and plan to go to Sweet Paris for another if they are in College Station.

For those with a sweet tooth, the sweet crêpes are a delicious option that can either be split with friends or saved just for you. As someone who enjoys lemon-flavored desserts, the “Lemon & Sugar” crêpe is an affordable tart yet sweet option.

Whether you are in College Station or Houston and would like to enjoy a date night or time with friends, Sweet Paris will always be a top recommendation from me!
